Enjoyment Guidelines and Safety Rules

Nell’s Woodland is meant to be a place for all to engage with nature.  Public opening hours are Thursday through Monday 8 AM to 5 PM. 


Please follow the Safety Rules and Enjoyment Guidelines to ensure every park guest’s right to use and enjoy the park

  • Explore and engage with our spheres of stewardship: ecology, wellness, and the arts.

  • Please stay on the trail. Exploring terrain off trail poses risk to visitors and surrounding ecology.

  • No bikes or motorized vehicles, including all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles and motorcycles, on trails

  • Respect the trees, landscape, and structures of Nell’s Woodland. No defacing or damage.

  • Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

  • No firearms, including paintball guns, air rifles and pyrotechnics

  • Dog must be on leash; leashes cannot be more than 6 feet long.

  • No consuming or possession of alcohol

  • No feeding wildlife.

  • Leave No Trace.

  • No hunting

  • No smoking

  • No campfires

Online Visitor Registration and entry check-in required to access Nell’s Woodland.  Enjoy preserve at your own risk.
